When and where will DH-IGNITE take place?

The original plan with ESCALATOR was to reach out to all public universities in South Africa by hosting various in-person networking and capacity development activities on the various campuses in collaboration with the host institutions.

With COVID restrictions being lifted, we are innovating to reach a broader audience in a shorter time and offer even better opportunities for networking and community building.

We will host FIVE DH-IGNITE events across the country between October 2022 and June 2023. Each event will be open to institutions based in specific regions:

• Region 1: KwaZulu Natal - 18 & 19 October 2022 (MUT, DUT, UNIZULU, UKZN)
• Region 2: Western Cape - 8 - 10 March 2023 (UWC, UCT, SU, CPUT)
• Region 3: Central & Western Region - date to be confirmed (UP, UNISA, TUT, VUT, SMU, WITS, UJ, CUT, UFS, NWU, SPU, CSIR, HSRC)
• Region 4: Eastern Cape - date to be confirmed (WSU, RU, NMU, UFH)
• Region 5: Northern region - date to be confirmed (UL, UNIVEN, UMP)
